Privacy Policy — Finemark Driver app

This policy explains what the Finemark Driver mobile app ("the app") collects from drivers and carriers, how Finemark Inc. ("Finemark," "we," "us") uses it, and your choices. It applies to the app only.

Information we collect

• Identity & account: your mobile phone number (used to sign in), name, carrier affiliation, and truck/trailer numbers, as already on file with Finemark.
• Location: precise GPS location while you have an active load and have turned tracking on — including in the background when you grant "Always" permission — so Finemark and its customers can follow the shipment. We do not collect your location when you have no active load or when tracking is off.
• Documents & photos: images you capture or upload, such as the bill of lading and proof of delivery.
• Load activity: stop arrival/departure and status updates you record.
• Messages: messages you send to and receive from Finemark staff in the app.
• Device: a push-notification token and basic device/OS information needed to deliver notifications and run the app.

How we use it

• Provide load details, tracking, proof of delivery, and messaging for freight you haul with Finemark.
• Keep Finemark's customers and shippers updated on shipment status and location.
• Operate, support, secure, and improve the app.
• Meet safety, recordkeeping, and legal obligations.

How location is shared

Location, status, and proof-of-delivery information is shared with Finemark and, as part of normal shipment visibility, with the customer/shipper for the load you are running. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Service providers

We use trusted vendors to run the app, including cloud hosting/storage, Expo (push notifications), and Twilio (SMS verification codes). They process data only to provide these services to us.

Your choices

• Turn tracking off any time with the in-app toggle, or stop background sharing by changing the app's location permission in your device settings.
• Sign out to end your session.
• Request access to or deletion of your information by contacting us (subject to records we must retain).

Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to operate loads, support you, and satisfy legal, tax, and recordkeeping requirements, then delete or de-identify it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data protected.

Children

The app is for professional drivers and is not directed to anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll post the new version here with a revised effective date.
